Sunderland striker Darren Bent has revealed an alternative version of his Umbro Speciali boots which he wore in the entertaining 2-2 Premier League draw against West Ham.

The forward, who was recently called up to the England squad to face Brazil, is a frequent poster on social networking website Twitter. As a result, Umbro designed a unique pair of Specialis for Bent that included the blue Twitter logo and the name @DBTheTruth, the striker’s online username.

Apart from this, Bent is looking to work with Umbro to design another pair of boots for a future Premier League match. The striker, who is the highest profile Premiership footballer to use Twitter, took a photo of three different potential sole designs for his next pair of boots. He placed this photo on Twitter and asked his followers to vote for their favourite. The majority of replies have been in favour of the middle design below.
